About Us
Second North River Baptist Church is a smaller rural church located in Southeastern New Brunswick. But do not let our apparent size fool you! We believe God has given us the mission objective of serving our community and sharing the Good News in a caring way. We also believe He has given us the power to do this, if we will follow His will.

This is the stained glass window behind the pulpit, which shows Jesus praying in the Garden of Gethsemane, which was donated to the church by Gesner Taylor and his family.

We serve the communities of Second North River and Monteagle, with a total population of 784 people (Canada 2001 Census). While these communities are our focus area, we also have many members from other surrounding communities.
Our services are open to everyone, and we always invite the community to join us in our activities. It is our desire that people would know they are not only welcome to attend, but are invited and encouraged to attend the programs and ministries of the church. Our people are full of smiles, laughter, and encouragement, while also willing to sit and share concerns and problems with compassion and care.

While we may be smaller in size, the number of programs, ministries and events we offer do not show it! Children and youth have a variety of options for learning and fun. Adults are challenged to grow in their Christian faith in lifelong learning through various programs. We are heavily involved in helping those in physical need, the emotionally distraught, and the financially struggling of our community. And we are continuing to work to make our Sunday Morning Service more engaging, dynamic, and challenging.

We are members of the Westmorland-Kent Association of Convention Baptist Churches, and the Convention of Atlantic Baptist Churches. As members of these two groups, we accomplish the following:
- Own and operate Atlantic Baptist University in Moncton, NB.
- Own and operate Acadia Divinity College in Wolfville, NS.
- Form part of a network of ministries that works with more youth in the Canadian Atlantic Provinces in a year than any other non-governmental organization.
- Own and operate Camp Wildwood in McKee's Mills, NB.
- Own and operate 3 nursing homes and 12 apartment complexes for seniors.
- Maintain chaplains in our hospitals, nursing homes, military, and prisons.
- Are part of Springforth, one of Canada's largest youth weekend conferences!
We are excited to be serving others as we work with other churches!
I invite you to check out the other portions of this website to receive more information on the activities of the church. Please contact me should you have any questions or concerns.
